Oakwood Village Before and After Photo Gallery

The owner of Oakwood Village Apartments approached me about a year after he had purchased the property. During that year, he had experienced many changes in his life after applying Feng Shui principles in his home, and he decided to use them in his business as well. The Feng Shui work at Oakwood Village Apartments took place in three phases over the course of a month.

Phase 1: I analyzed the office space and made adjustments to the various elements and furniture placement in order to provide a better flow of chi. We also discussed other items that would need to be purchased in order to move into the second phase of the work. I performed two different space clearings to clear the space of predecessor energy and other negative energy patterns.

Phase 2: I supervised the installation of various items, including the placement of specific chi solutions involving the proper use of the constructive and destructive relationships between the elements, and the building of an enclosed space on the covered patio.

Phase 3: The owner and I performed an Exterior Blessing Ceremony which is one of the most auspicious blessings available in the BTB Feng Shui tradition. It is a major adjustment which encourages growth, luck and prosperity.

Left: Shows the covered patio area of the leasing office. Since this area contains a portion of the money, fame and relationship areas for the office, I determined that enclosing it would create more stability in all these areas for the owner.

Right: Shows the completed enclosure.

Left: We place the plant near the back door to provide protection and to create a sense of closure at the open doorway.

Right: A wind chime was hung to help the chi circulate in these very important areas of the space. Later, a circular table (the metal element) will be added for employee use.

Left: The office assistant’s desk was in alignment with the back door, the front windows and was not in a commanding position.

Right: The assistant’s desk was moved and other enhancements such as mirrors, crystals and a wind chime were hung in order to correct door placement and alignment issues.

Left: The restroom was missing the earth element and also needed the wood element in order to eliminate the imbalance.

Right: Shows the changes that were made by simply adding a few items such as stones (metal) for the sink, a lucky bamboo (wood) and adding the earth element in the form of towels and art. The client also plans to paint the walls in an earth tone.

Left: Although the Property Manager’s desk appears to be in a commanding position, the placement of her computer creates vulnerability.

Right: The Property Manager’s desk was placed at an angle and her computer screen was moved so that she is facing the main door. Specific mirrors were placed in order to give her a view of both doors to the leasing office.

Left: In this photo, we see the original position of the spiky plant and the visitor’s couch.

Right: The plant and couch changed places with the assistant’s desk which allowed her to be in a much more positive area to complete her work and welcome visitors and potential new residents.

Left: Here we see the improved position for the couch and the way the children’s play area was prior to any changes.

Right: Since the children’s area is in the Service and Helpful people area of the offices, we added more metal in the form of round shapes to strengthen it.

In Feng Shui, no two spaces are the same, so each job receives specific recommendations that will bring about the most dramatic results. As always, the clients decorating style, tastes and budget are addressed. Positive changes occur in all areas of our lives when we begin to see our spaces in a new way.
